Peter Hill-Wood: Arsenal chairman suffers heart attack


Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has suffered a heart attack and is recuperating in hospital.

The 76-year-old was taken ill on Friday and an Arsenal statement said he "is recovering after suffering a heart attack, following a bout of pneumonia".
The Gunners added: "Peter is currently being treated in hospital. He is making a good recovery.
"The club wishes Peter a full and speedy return to health and our thoughts are with him and his family."

Nigerian soccer player dies on the pitch in Romania



Palermo - A 21-year-old Nigerian soccer player signed up by League III team Delta Tulcea, Ihelwere Chinonso Henry died on the pitch today in Romania during a friendly match against Boltesti. The player was given CPR for over an hour but never regained consciousness. Doctor John Tanase reported that the soccer player's heart had stopped and CPR was carried out from 12.05 until 13.12. Ambulances arrived 3 minutes after being called. An autopsy has been ordered. .
