NIGERIA’S GOT TALENT: THE XPENDABLES, TOKE MAKE FINALS


Last Saturday, eight contestants left the Nigeria’s Got Talent competition, and following the format of the show, this week, another set of eight will leave the competition.
Let’s take you down memory lane.
The first set of contestants to make it to the final show was Impulse (Singers) and Mr Bariyu (ventriloquist). While Impulse was the viewer’s choice, Mr Bariyu was the judges’ choice. The following week, Okechukwu Godwin (Violinist) emerged contestant with the highest votes, while the Judges chose Chuka (Rapper)
This week, eleven year old Toke Salami (Singer) had the highest public votes. However following the show’s format, the judges had to pick between who had the second and third highest votes – The Xpendables(Dancers) and Asuquo Romeo(.Mono Cyclist juggler)
“I don’t know why you always make me do this every week” Kate Henshaw said before casting her vote for The Xpendables. Dan Foster chose Asuquo Romeo saying he has a rare talent. But the last judge Yibo Koko chose The Xpendables.
With the final performance night on December 9 getting close, six contestants are just one step to winning the grand prize of 10 Million Naira. Two of which will emerge this week and the other two next week.
This week Amarachi, Jude James, MC Pin Code, Michael Onyinye, Matilda, Crystal Core, Ekeng Bassey, Idowu, Nathaniel and Code Red slugged it out for the seventh and eight positions in the final stage
 Looks like the fun and excitement on Nigeria’s Got Talent just got real!
Voting closes by midnight on Tuesday, so viewers are expected to send their favorite character’s short code to 33685.

NIGERIA’S GOT TALENT: IMPULSE, BARIYU MAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL


……As 10 new acts compete for the Prize Money

Variety act Dr Bariyu and acapella group Impulse are the first set of contestants to make it to the final stage of Nigeria’s Got Talent!
Last Saturday, the first result show of the semi final stage aired and for the first time ever, the viewers made their decision

According to Project Manager Adaora Mbelu, “We are at a point where the viewers make the decision. They watch the show on Sunday and vote for who they want to remain in the competition. The Judges have less power in the semi final stage. It is 100 percent the decision of the audience”
Impulse had the highest number of votes while Bariyu and Lil P had a tie, and then it was the judges’ task to pick the act that will make it to the final stage. Yibo went for Lil P, while Dan and Kate went for Bariyu.


The result show airs on Saturdays on 
TVC - 9.30 - 10pm 
AIT - 1pm - 1:30pm
STV - 7.30 - 8pm
NTA - 5.30 - 6pm
SoundCity - 7.30-8pm
HITV - 8.30pm - 9pm

This week, It gets hotter , as The Heroes (Dancers), Chuka (Rapper), Samuel Okon (Dancer) Marily Ogechi (Musician), The Lord’s Chosen Dancers (Dancers), Ogechukwu Godwin (Musician), sixtaz (Dancers), Pretty Brown (Singer), Joshua Essein (Musician) and Edet Etim (Variety act) jostle to make it to the final stage.

NIGERIA’S GOT TALENT: THE STIFF COMPETITION BEGINS

…..50 make it to the Semi Finals
It’s been endless weeks of production, traveling, screening and work nonstop for the Nigeria’s Got Talent team. And as the show kicks into full gear, producers of the show at Rapid Blue Format have announced that viewers should be ready for a new phase in the Nigeria’s Got Talent experience.
The semi final stage will see contestants perform to the judges and the audience on a big stage,. This phase will start with the 50 contestants the judges’ selected last week and end with 10 contestants.” Adaora Mbelu Project Manager at Rapid Blue Format disclosed.
This Sunday, the show finally entered the semi final stage as ten contestants from all age groups performed in front of the judges for the second time.
“Nigeria is a unique country, and we have a whole lot of talent, what we saw in the previous episode is something that is going to get bigger” Yibo Koko, one of the judges said.
The first group includes Impulse (Singing group), Clymaxx (Dance group), John Uket (Singer), Udezeagwua Ezedi (Musician), Vicky Mark (Singer) and Adult Babies (Variety Acts)
Others are Olayemi John- Lil P (Singer), DNA Crew (Dance group) and Bariyu (Variety Act).
Viewers have the power to vote their favorite talents by texting their unique numbers to 33685
