Alternative Pop/Rock artist BARUQ returns with his brand new single titled “Material Gurl”. Following from the success of his last single “Misconception” which received massive airplay and support from Beat FM, Cool FM (Abuja), Kiss FM, Rhythm FM (Jos) and Wazobia FM among others, BaruQ comes alive yet again on this new offering - the Dr. Tim-produced “Material Gurl” - which is off of his forthcoming debut album which is to be released in 2013.

Backed by gritty Rock-infused electric and bass guitar arrangements as well as stirring drum patterns, BaruQ tells a cautionary tale of a girl who loses her way to a material world by creatively painting a vivid and harrowing image of trafficking and illegal sex trade in Nigeria with his carefully crafted lyrics, ingenious wordplay and a compelling vocal performance to match. 'Gangnam Style' the Year's 2nd Most Popular Google Search

Psy's global hit "Gangnam Style" was the second most popular search on Google this year. Google on Thursday said it tallied more than 1 trillion search terms from 55 countries this year, and pop diva Whitney Houston, who died in February, was the most popular search in 2012.

But "Gangnam Style" was the most-searched in Korea, Australia, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates, demonstrating the soaring popularity of the song which also racked up more than 900 million views on YouTube. Not only is it the most-viewed video ever on YouTube, is also on its way to garnering more than 1 billion views.

Third was Hurricane Sandy, which wreaked havoc on the U.S. east coast in October, and fourth Apple's iPad 3, followed by online game "Diablo III," Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, and the London Olympics.

In the area of home appliances, the iPad 3 was followed by Samsung's Galaxy S3. Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 tablet PC was the fifth most-searched appliance. Apple's iPad Mini and iPad 4 were also among the most frequently searched words on Google, but the iPhone 5 did not even make it into the top 10.

6 Killed In Auto Crash Along Benin-Auchi Road

No fewer than six persons were killed on Wednesday night in a multiple accident which occurred at Aviele along Benin-Auchi Road, Edo State while 18 others were seriously injured.

According to Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Kenneth Nwaegbe, those who lost their lives were five adult males and a female.

The accident, he explained, involved an articulated vehicle (trailer) and two buses.

Following the accident, traffic gridlock was said to have taken over the highway for several hours, causing delays for motorists.

“The accident caused a gridlock during the early hours of Thursday, but we managed to bring in a recovery truck to remove the vehicles from the road. There is free-flow of traffic as I speak with you now,” Nwaegbe said.
